Command Reference

This document outlines OHBot's commands.

Words in [brackets] (required) or {braces} (optional) are parameters and should be replaced with a value.

Avatars

OHBot meet a lot of people! Use these functions to learn about them.

» How many people do you know?

Tells you how many people he's met, and how many he's spoken to

» How many people are you talking to?

Tells you how many people he's currently speaking with

» Who's with you?

Gives you a list of all the people currently with him

» How many people are here?

Counts the number of people currently with him

» Have you met [avatar]?

Tells you whether or not he has met the specified avatar

Example: "Have you met Rand?"

» When did you meet [avatar]?

Tells you when he met the specified avatar

Example: "When did you meet Rand?"

» Have you seen [avatar]?

Tells you the last he saw the specified avatar and, if recently, their last known location

Example: "Have you seen Rand?"

KI Numbers

OHBot is a walking KI Directory. Use these commands to access it.

» What is [avatar]'s KI number?

Looks up the KI number for the specified avatar

Example: "What is OHB's KI number?"

» Who is [ki number]?

Performs a reverse-lookup using a KI number

Example: "Who is 01516847?"

Note: Date and times provided are Central Time in the US (1 hour ahead of KI Time)...this will change to KI Time at a later date.

» What is today's date?

Provides the current date

» What is tomorrows's date?

Provides tomorrow's date

Use these commands to get the D'ni date & time.

» What is the D'ni date?

Provides the current D'ni date

Jokes & Fun Stuff

OHBot likes to have fun too! Go wild with these commands!

» RND {{minimum=1} [maximum=10]}

Generates a random number

Example: "RND" (generates a random number between 1 and 10)
Example: "RND 50" (generates a random number between 1 and 50)
Example: "RND 10 50" (generates a random number between 10 and 50)

» Flip coin

Flips a virtual coin

» Roll {1 {[sides=6] SIDED}} die

» Roll {[count=1] {[sides=6] SIDED}} dice

Rolls virtual dice

Note: when specifying the number of sides, do NOT use a dash. Say "12 sided" not "12-sided"

Example: "Roll die" (rolls 1 6-sided die)
Example: "Roll dice" (rolls 2 6-sided dice)
Example: "Roll 6 dice" (rolls 6 6-sided dice)
Example: "Roll 1 10 sided die"

» What does the magic 8-ball say?

Causes OHBot to shake a virtual magic 8-ball and return the answer

» Sing [song] by [artist]

Causes OHBot to sing the requested song

Example: "Sing Yesterday by The Beatles"

» Speak [phrase]

Causes OHBot to speak the specified phrase using voice-chat

Example: "Speak I'm sorry, Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that."

» Tell me something interesting.

» Tell me something funny.

Returns an entertaining one-liner

» Tell me a blonde joke.

Causes OHBot to tell you a blonde joke

Note: More types of jokes coming soon...nothing against blondes!

Language Translation

OHBot uses the Google Translate API to bring language translation to the cavern. He currently supports 30 languages. When specifying a language, use the full name of the language (such as 'English') or the language's short-code (such as 'en').

Note: OHBot can only communicate and answer questions in English...translations are completely separate.

» What languages can you translate?

Lists languages available for translation

» What is the code for [language]?

Gives the short-code for the specified language

Example: "What is the code for Swahili?"

» What is [phrase] in [language]?

Translates a phrase from English to the specified language

Example: "What is hello in Spanish?"

» Translate [from language] [to language] [phrase]

Translates a phrase from one language to another

Example: "Translate Spanish German hola a todos"

Automatic Language Translation

OHBot can be used to translate public chat on-the-fly. Each person in the age with him can be translated to one other language at a time. You can start translation for yourself or other players. This is to allow you to enable automatic translation for a non-English speaking player. The translations provided are NOT perfect. They are sometimes incorrect. To ensure the best possible conversation, follow these best-practices:

OHBot can only translate public chat that he sees. You MUST be in the same age as him for this to work.

Use complete senteces, with proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Pretend as if you are writing a letter - even if it sounds formal.
Don't use jargon, acronyms, or other short-hand.
When referring to in-game things with English names, put them in quotations. ("AGE PLAYERS" or "INCOMING")
Watch your translation...if a word or phrase didn't translate at all, check your spelling or try saying it another way.

» What language is [avatar] speaking?

Attempts to detect the language being typed publically by the specified avatar.

Example: "What language is rena50 speaking?"

» Start translating me into [language].

» Start translating [name] into [language].

Enables automatic translation for the specified avatar from English into another.

Example: "Start translating me into Welsh"

» Start translating me from [from language] into [to language].

» Start translating [name] into [language].

Enables automatic translation for the specified avatar from one language to another.

Example: "Start translating me from Welsh into English"

» Stop translating me.

» Stop translating [avatar].

Disabled automatic translation for the specified avatar.

Example: "Stop translating rena50."

Begins the pellet score calculator program

This program will ask you a few questions about your recipe. The rest of the pellet calculator commands below are shortcuts.

» Pellet Calculator [time] [amount] [temperature]

Calculates pellet scores for the specified recipe

You can use this shortcut when each oven uses the same recipe.

For example: "Pellet Calculator 10 20 30"

» Pellet Calculator [ovens 1-3] [oven 4]

Calculates pellet scores for the specified recipe

You can use this shortcut when each ovens 1-3 use the same recipe but oven 4 is different.
Treat each parameter as [time] [amount] [temperature].

For example: "Pellet Calculator 10 20 30 20 30 40"

» Pellet Calculator [oven 1] [oven 2] [oven 3] [oven 4]

Calculates pellet scores for the specified recipe

You can use this shortcut when each uses a different recipe.
Treat each parameter as [time] [amount] [temperature].

For example: "Pellet Calculator 50 40 30 5 10 15 40 30 20 40 45 50"

Portal Times

OHBot can calculate when the Pod Age portals appear. The times are accurate to a few seconds.

» When is the next {pod name} portal?

Provides the next time for the specified portal

If the pod name is not specified, the next time for the first portal will be returned.

Example: "When is the next portal?"
Example: "When is the next Dereno portal?"
Example: "When is the next Negilahn portal?"
Example: "When is the next Payiferen portal?"
Example: "When is the next Tetsonot portal?"

CAVCON

Displays the current CAVCON. Numbers may be delayed by 6 hours.

Provides the definition of the specified word (provided by WordNet)

Example: "Define robot"

» Synonyms [word]

Provides a list of synonyms for the specified word (provided by BigHugeLabs)

Example: "Define robot"

» Antonyms [word]

Provides a list of antonyms for the specified word (provided by BigHugeLabs)

Example: "Define robot"

» Where is area code [us area code]?

Tells you the location of a US Area Code

Example: "Where is area code 312?"

Some questions about URU can only be answered when you put OHBot into spoiler mode. Use these functions to toggle it.

Note: there are two spoiler modes. The first provides spoilers, but never solutions to puzzles. The second provides solutions to puzzles.

Provides the a list of current statistical information

Tells you how many questions he's answered since his inception

OHBot can check the weather for any city in the world, as reported by Google.

» Weather [city]

Provides the current weather for the specified city

Example: "Weather Chicago", "Weather London, England", "Weather 90210"
